Feeling Fragile

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 25th February 2005 @ 07:24:12 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I am feeling a little fragile,
Have been feeling like this for awhile,
I used to be as sturdy as a rock,
Never faltered from any kind of shock.

But now I feel like a wilting flower,
Becoming weaker by the hour,
My love does all that he can,
He really is such a loving man.

I have no strength left anymore,
It waved goodbye as it closed the door,
I am a shadow of my former self,
Life has taken toll on my mental health.

Just one day I’d like to feel free of worry,
But it’s leaving my side in no kind of hurry,
I thought I’d always be as strong as an ox,
Now all I want is to hide in my secluded box.

I hold my hands up I am beaten,
All my suffering sanity has been eaten,
Eaten away by worry & pain,
It has broken my once iron frame.

I just want to curl up into a tight ball,
Don’t want to stop myself from my final fall,
I wish I didn’t feel so fragile,
My face has forgotten what it is to smile.

Sad sad write. I like the intro, but expected it to tie a little tighter to the poem. Still, well structured and engaging. Good job Pixie. Warm wishes,

ARSENIC

Hope you are ok Pixie. Life can be so hard at times. One day at a time. Smiles will come inbetween the hurt and pain. Hang on in there.

Excellent poem

Awww this is so heart-wrenchingly sad. As a poem is written to perfect, it flows nicely and is both insightful and expressive. I hope everything works out for you, and that you're better soon.

Take Care

This is so sad. It made me feel hopeless too. Very well expressed and it flows like sand in between fingers.
