I'm alone on a secluded hilltop,
For you I am waiting, waiting.
Then I see you, my heart stops
And I watch, this need abating.
Oh, how I have waited for you
And looked to the stars above.
As long as they remain true,
I will wait for our patient love.
Because while they are making out,
Baby, we are taking it slow
And while they are breaking up,
Baby, we are taking it slow.
Now we are together as the sun sets
The purples, reds, and oranges so nice
I know in all my days I'll never forget
No, this night will freeze like ice.
Slowly the light gives way unto darkness
And the stars emerge from their beds
We watch them shimmer in silence
Then upon my shoulder, you lay your head.
I lightly stroke your hair
As I've always wanted to do
I whisper sweet nothings in your ear
One of which is "I love you"
I know I'll never be able to say
All the things you mean to me.
I think of you every single day
In my dreams, you are all I see.
You are the object of my desire.
You are my starlight one, only.
You are my whole heart's fire.
You are my night's suns, lovely.
You are so very much to me.
You are the one for me, I know.
You are all that I want to see.
You are her who I will hold onto.
I'm looking for a faint glimmer
Of a star's light in the airy skies
I glimpse it as it gets dimmer
Until its only reflected in your eyes.
The night will enfold us together
And we'll ascend to outer space
Journeying with you untethered
Free, finally, from this place.
Because you love me and I love you
I'll live forever in your embrace.
Because I love you and you love me
I'll die looking at your lovely face.
I've always been here for you,
I'll always be there for you,
You've always been dear to me,
And I will always care for you.
I love the sweet lull of your voice
As you whisper "I love you"
And I love that I have no choice
But to return it, for I love you too.
I love your smile, so sweet and charming
That you shine for me all the time.
It is so innocent and so disarming,
Just an element of your beautiful mind.
I love your perfect elfin-like face
That contains eyes like purest jewels
And a nose, exactly in place
And your mouth, the hope of fools.
I love your slender dancer's body
Shaped just as many dream
The way you move is heavenly
To me, an angel you seem.
I love the sweet words you write
In the letters you send to me
The language of those of light,
Love, that is what we speak.
I love the way I can write for you
The words just flow from my heart
I do not need to think it through
For all I write for you is your art.
I love the time we spend together
To be in your presence is happiness
My heart flutters like a feather
My soul is permeated with bliss.
I love that it's me you love
I know that I am a fool
I love that I am good enough
I am so happy that I have you.
