drugabuse

God tell him to put his cigarette down,
And tell him how much I pray.
Tell him that it’s okay to change,
Even if change means today.
God, sit back down at your desk in Heaven,
We both have much to lose.
Search through the poems you’ve written,
‘Till you find the one called “Jacob Cruz”.
Erase the drugs off of that paper,
Erase smoking from all his days.
And if that happens to erase me and him,
Then, God, do it anyways.
You know how much I love him.
And I know you love him too.
But if you edit that poem,
He might, once again, believe in you.
God, the thought of losing our days,
And the times me and him have shared.
Is a whole lot less severe than losing,
The entire poem that you prepared.
I love him, and I’d die for him,
But not if he kills himself first.
That’s exactly what he’s doing,
When he smokes each day at its worst.
So sit down at your desk, God,
Take out your eraser and glue.
And if needed, to save his life,
Then, God erase me too.

Wow this left me speechless... Its so sweet and beautiful and is simply perfect. The last stanza-verse-thingy blew me away. I'm glad things are 'changing' and I hope everything comes off smoothly.
Take Care

What a beautiful poem. It just goes to show how selfless love can make a person. Every word of this poem touched me and I am so glad that it touched him too.

Youch, another gorgeous write.
I love this. All of it, your message behind it. The thought of God writing us all as poems..
That is one of the best thoughts..
Great write,

okay....so, not only are you wise and mature, but you are unselfish. You care about others more than yourself. What I really like about your work is that each piece reveals something about you so that others can picture what you are like, and what your personality is. This poem made me cry. And...its definitely not every day that a guy like me cries. Your writing is simply flawless. |
