Not Yet There.

Topic: oops

In a black pit, I can't hear a sound,
Everyday the world presses down,
Upon broken dreams and family,
I wish the earth would just swallow me.

Some times I wake and it hurts so bad,
I want to give in, because she's all I've had.
I want to trust so badly, it rips me apart,
Knowing I can't trust this one with my heart.

She who once spoon fed me, stayed by my bed,
Through sickness and weakness, and bumps that were red.
The one who was supposed to be there, thick and thin,
Turned out to be hollow and flimsy, like tin.

There won't be special moments, if I don't learn to trust,
But you've learned to cover this relationship with dust.
I can't take you back yet, there is just too much pain,
But if I don't you'll walk away, like there's nothing to gain.

I wish I could tell you what's going on in my soul,
But the words won't come out yet, from my mouth they stole.
I can tell you this, and from the very depth does this come,
No matter what, wether I trust you or not, I love you Mom.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
