Abort

It can't cry.
It's not life,
and it can't cry.

Teeth clenching,
heart wrenching,
death comes over her,
but she is not dieing.
She is crying.

It becomes blood.
It turns to death,
and flows out blood.

She had no choice.
She was too young,
too sick, too beaten,
too reasoned to find a voice.
While it's dieing,
she is crying.

It's in the doctors arms.
It's darkened fate
is in the doctors arms.

Nature howls good bye.
Protesters demand why.
She is too far gone now,
as she starts to cry.
If it's for the worst,
she will never know.
If it's for the best,
she's hoping time will show
her a way to carry on,
now that her baby is gone.
While others are prying,
she is crying.

It's a shadow now.
What it is, is less important
than what might have been,
perfect, terrible, or the orgin
of something greater.
Or far worse.
Whatever it was,
whatever it is,
whatever you,
me,
or anytone else thinks,
it had to be done.
Life was hard.
But it's a shadow now.

It was a life,
It was Gods creation,
It had a soul,
His and her blood,
Flowed through its veins,
His and her being
Mother, Father,
Its heart did beat,
It had feelings,
Now it is dead,
Hands of murderers,
The infant crys,
Just for one, yes
One gasp of air.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
