Little Orphan

Topic: SadPoetry

Irel's parents hated Irel,
They always said she was a curse from hell.
When she was four years old, they drove away,
With Irel left by the road on that one snowy day.
She walked for days in the windy gloom,
Knowing that on this path she would meet her doom.
When a car drove by, her heart leaped.
But they never stopped, and she weeped.
On the third day, Irel collapsed in the white clover.
She said her prayers knowing her life was over.
She spoke these words with tears in her eyes:
My life has been full of hateful lies. My parents really do hate me.
They locked me in rooms with no key. The hurt me and hit me and slapped my face.
I never got food because they lost their money at the horsey race.
Why'd they leave me here to die?
Was I a bad daughter? I swear I never told a lie!
I loved them so much, I wished they'd love me too.
God, why can't they love me, like I love you?
These were the last words Irel ever said,
And a few moments later Irel was dead.

Very sad.
it's hard for me to comprhend that any parent can walk a way from their own flesh-n-blood.
I've done lotssa wrong things in my day but my children are grown now and I have precious grand children. they are all what's kept me going and given me reason to get up each-n-every time I fall.
A masterpeice even tho it's heart wrenching 'cause I know there are many parents out there that jus don't care.
luv, huggs, peace,
emy
