Love Is Life's Biggest Mystery

Contributed by high_on_duct_tape on Thursday, 24th February 2005 @ 04:25:23 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

Love is life's biggest mystery
That no one can explain
No way of knowing what to do
Or what to say

I like to live life in control
Which might be why I can't stand love
In love there is no control
And the odds are against me

Do you love me?
Or, is that even the right question?
Will I ever know?
Must I risk what little I have for such a small piece of knowledge?

A small piece of knowledge
And yet, more important than anything else
To me, anyway
Which is why I hate love

I almost would
Would give up everything I have
Just for a chance
A chance to be with you

Almost, but not quite
Not yet anyway
But I get closer and closer every time I see you
To surrendering my life

Love is life's biggest mystery
And, Oh! what a mystery
Love is a treasure locked away in a chest
But I can never find the key

no one can ever find the key, but like you have to be with most people, understanding, you have to understand, that there are downs and ups in love, and it is all confusing, because your heart (feelings, emotions, & soul) is on the line.. which is why we are always willing to risk our lives for that piece of knowledge, and why we are so scared to as well. no one wins in the game of love, but we all win if we just love, and not think it is a game.... except no one out there will, they love to play too many games... which is again the reason why we fear it, and get confused....but Great write.

Love is just a thing whos key has been lost to most of the world. Just hang in there, things'll clear up.
