Be Ridden of Me

Contributed by lonely-nobody on Thursday, 24th February 2005 @ 01:08:40 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I just wanted you to know
How I was feeling inside
But I caused you pain I can see
I killed your heart with my words
Stabbing it with each letter I wrote
Your tears are falling freely
They'll go on forever
Falling for all eternity
Hiding yourself from me
Disappearing into the shadows of goodbye
I hang my head and cry
I'm a monster, a murderer
I deserve to die
The sorries I have inside
Will never make up for what I've done
Put me on death row
Bound my hands and feet with chains
So I'll never escape
To hurt you again
Be ridden of me
Forget that I exist
Close your eyes
Make yourself believe I'm not real
I was just a dream, a mirage
An illusion you saw
I've caused you too much pain
I brought down the rain
Flooding your soul with my words
Drowning you in sorrow
Your smile has been replaced
You'll never be the same

i can relate... a little too much self hatred for my taste, but i kinda write like this sometimes... which tells you something about how much i like my OWN poetry... this was good, it had a lot of emotion.
