The Death of the Sky

The Death of the Sky

Brought up to the sky
Only to die

You're only as good as the past
And you're still nothing

You bled my pains away
Only to make them flow another day
You dried my tears with your hand
Only to make them glitter in the sands

Of time that never forgets
With the past that always relives
The same misery
That the veins of glass bleed
That the veins of meaning
Distort at the seams

Completely shattered into pieces
Trustless with my conviction
Faith in you fell through
When I fell from the sky

And you left me to die
Shattered in the sands of time
Bleeding the meanings of life

Wow...This gave me goosebumps. Awesome piece!

"You bled my pains away
Only to make them flow another day
You dried my tears with your hand
Only to make them glitter in the sands"
Beautiful stanza.
