Is my sadness meant to haunt me
Or will it come and go
Has this misery enslaved me
or will it let me grow
There she sits across the room
Will she taunt my heart, like all before
or can she truely be mine
like the ones I adore
I would like to think she could be mine-
But years have taught me to find
Pleasure through other means
And to own love, only briefly in between

So this was you on day 1...I like...I look back on some of my older writes and cringe...lol but you have nothing to be ashamed of. Something in that first line gives me a smile (in a good way...) Can you guess?
