I have so many things I’m hiding from you
You think this person is me, but that’s not true
Lies and deceit seem the way to go
But that’s not right, I know
Now even when you’re not around
The real person inside, cannot be found
I feel locked up and hated
I feel so jaded
If this is my life, where do I go from here?
I’ve cried too much for us, I’ll not shed one more tear
Help me set things right
Help me settle the score in this fight
When the night falls
The real person inside, calls
Like Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde
The night shows my true side
Only in dreaming, I’m free
No need for the fabricated me
Being away from you keeps me sane
Dreaming keeps the real me inside life’s picture frame
In my sleep, I’m reminded of me
I don’t hide, can’t you see?
All I want to do, is run away from you
But I have to stay and show you what’s true
I sit here hiding in the dark
Waiting for you to come and find me
