Untitled #4

Contributed by Nardo on Wednesday, 23rd February 2005 @ 02:09:58 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I can feel the ways of change for me
in these ups and downs
with each day that expose myself to you.
Many truths are being revealed
layers upon layers
are pulled back
to show the Pearl that lies inside
this solemn shell.
And each day
as I write to these Spirits in my
Past
Present
Future
I find that the Me
I once knew
(or didn't)
has sprouted wings
soaring heights unimaginable
feats of danger in the honesty
I must tell.
I feel giddy, laughing at myself
for never betraying what stirs inside
kick in the eye
tongue in cheek
and still
I can not keep silent these adventurous
dreams.
Words to be my Heroin
daily injections of what lies inside.
I hold dear these words that
Jack Knife from my mouth
falling into pools of images
ripples to feed your creativity.
I am merely a channel for these Spirits
Sad
Angry
Happy
and
Mad.

I love this poem. I love your words, your descriptions, your honesty----I relate to the way that you write and the feelings that you express throughout all of your poetry. It feels good to know that there are other people, like myself, that are on the same page.

I find that the Me
I once knew
(or didn't)
has sprouted wings
soaring heights unimaginable
feats of danger in the honesty
I must tell.
I feel giddy, laughing at myself
for never betraying what stirs inside

This is a great part in your poem. There are so many parts that I like in this. I think the "(or didn't)" part was great because it shows how we are always changing. We might think to ourselves, "NOw I know who I am", but as soon as we say that, we have changed again. Life is a flow, and we are that flow, and so we are always changing. And the other part I loved about this is that this is a reflection of how you are true to yourself, and always have been, because you have never "betrayed what stirs inside", and this is always an expression of freedom and joy. Cheers.

I am merely a channel for these Spirits
Sad
Angry
Happy
and
Mad.

So true!!! I love it because you are saying the same thing I've been saying, that no one has understood. We, as writers, should be open channels, and through us, whatever it is that we are in that moment, should be expressed, whether or not we are happy angry sad, man, whatever we are, we should be willing to have the honesty and openess to express it.

Be True,
zenmind
