be patient with me dear.
for sickness might catch my last breath.
do not shake me too hard
for my body is weak
and my heart is no good
without you dear
my eyes will not shine
of golden apple pies
and clouds would appear
and hit the sky
orange would over come
and purple would seize the sun.
my hands would no longer make
such pretty cakes
that decorate your heart
with colored sprinkles
and strawberry frosting.
sit with me under this banana tree
that is full of our found memory
of yellow skys and mocking birds
with pink sunsets that embrace the world.
lovely shades of every mountain
stripe the air with our hearts passion
hold my hand and watch with me
the changing of the colored leaves
drink the lemonade from this cup
dear,
kiss me when the sun comes up.
