Six Little Cuts

Contributed by Live2Die on Tuesday, 22nd February 2005 @ 10:58:39 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Six little cuts
My salvation,
My doom,
In one package of temptation
And a world of gloom.

Six little cuts
My secret love
My dreaded hurt,
This is no dove,
It’s a time to be alert.

Six little cuts
My inside smile,
My outside tears
It’s not worthwhile,
It brings no true cheers.

Six little cuts
Shining on my arm
A bright, beautiful red
This is the reason for the harm,
Though it may leave me dead.

I'm a cutter, so I really related to this piece. I know many people don't understand why we do the things we do, hang in there sweetie. I know it's hard, but times will get better.

I love this. I can really relate. There's something about cutting in a row, yknow all lined up, that is described perfectly in the phrase "six little cuts." What can I say? I loved it. Thanks for your comment.
