You were within my reach the other night,
and more beautiful then ever.
Before you left I held you tight,
I wanted to stay in that moment forever.
I miss everything about you,
everything I could possibly miss.
I even miss the smell of your shampoo,
but most of all it's that feeling of bliss.
I lost that feeling when I lost you,
and I haven't found it yet.
You're the only true love I ever knew,
letting you slip away is my biggest regret.
Talking with you again has brought back the pain,
the pain that I thought was all done.
The fact that I still love you is the only way I can explain,
explain why this pain has again begun.
Now we talk almost everyday,
and it reminds me of how we used to be.
Sometimes we didn't know what to say,
but rarely did we disagree.
I have that feeling too, that we will soon be one,
together again after these last few years.
The mistake in the past will be undone,
and we can wipe away these heartbroken tears.
