Once upon an early morn
My fancy was to see
The lake upon the sunrise, and
The moon atop the trees
Yet none of them, I could see, so
I ran up to the hill
I reached the peak and looked due west
And received a sudden chill
The clouds rolled in that morning, see
And that is why I sigh
I've seen enough, and wish no more
My dreams, to surely die
