Encased in darkness
I can barely see the light
Just close enough to tease me
The darkness is all around
Painful
A constant reminder of more dark to come
Always there, torturing me
I can never reach the light
As hard as I try
It stays far enough away to be just out of reach
But so close I can see it
Stare
And look away before it sees me
I can only hope the light will come to me
Find me
Save me
Until then, I will live out my life in the darkness
