The Cry For Help

Contributed by mchristenson on Monday, 21st February 2005 @ 08:19:41 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

The cry of and for help is a silent one.
It echo’s, but only to a place where no one can hear it
Or see it
Or feel it
Or help out the helpless one
That’s why so many people go unnoticed.
They focus on the atrocious,
Leaving it to an obliterating kiss
Of a barrel
Of a gun
To your body
And you stab yourself with words one more time
The word “coward”
And “pathetic”
And “useless”
And this last stab bursts the last hope you have
And you let your finger go
And so does your life
And regrets mean nothing
Though you wish they did
And you would’ve let someone hear your vicious, screaming, vulgar
Cry for help.

I work in a highschool and see so many cries for help, because I have gone through so much and still deal with some. Talk to me, talk to someone at his site. Keep writing, but don't go with the gun. Be there to hear the cries of other in your future. Very well written and something every parent should read.
