In the complacent state of this contusion,
I have learned how to lose my fingerprints.
They have lulled themselves from spring warmth,
Into an unorthodox cliché of teen hunger.
From an atrium of fledgling fresh air,
They quarantined a lilac bouquet of rape’s finest qualities.
Frailty slices a prayer, “Speak, love, and live through me,
While I get up and try to make this table dance.”
