We were brilliant under the sparkling,
summer's sun,
on a bright and bold afternoon.
Speaking about all that we had done;
and how it was over too soon..
Studying our lives, while selecting
lillies and lilacs,
Searching for pearls of wisdom
underneath the gardens
rocks.

I think you need an apostrophe on gardens, but otherwise this is pure perfection to me.
Loved it.
