Topic: LostLove

I counted how long we were apart,
It was 60 long hours that battered my heart,
That is something I never wish to do again,
I barely withstood all the loneliness & pain.

We never spend much time away,
We are together as always day after day,
As the bond we share is so very deep,
It is one that I truly wish to keep.

The nights were the hardest by far,
From this day on I’ll harbour a deep scar,
In my soul I will carry this forever,
The memory & I will stay together.

The memory of the day I nearly lost,
The love of my life at a deadly cost,
There is one promise I will make for you,
It is that I’ll never again turn you blue.

I miss you only after a few minutes have gone by,
My heart & my soul let out a great sigh,
As like me they are so happy that our love,
Has again come together like hand to glove.
