In the church she waits
In the midst of silent tombs
listening to the preacher's chorus
depicted all in black and white
Tattered bibles lay at her feet
Cold tears run down her jagged face
Silent prayers whispered in the wind
Hollowed voices of praise
Slaughtered innocence
A ravaged soul
Layin in broken dreams
Tearful confessions
Ridiculed by saints
A fallen angel
Lying at hells gate

Slaughtered innocence seems like having sex for the first time that didn't go well or is feeling guilty or told you were bad. Please tell me real story. Very well written. |

Great write emphasising the emptiness and judgemental arrogance of religion in its inability to answer a struggling soul. |
