He laced his fingers through mine
As he ran to his winning team.
I know I could have fainted when
I saw his dark eyes gleam
As they stared at me all the time
He didn’t have the ball
Like hearing him yell my name
Through his romantic drawl.
“But you just like him because he’s hot,”
Is what everyone tells me.
But I truly see something inside him
(But they’re right, he is a hottie!)
I swear, if he does like me,
Then I may fall down and die!
But I’m not dead yet, and he just may,
Judging from what he implies.
Or maybe he’s staring at someone else,
But that really doesn’t seem right
Because it was my fingers that he laced
That beautiful, victorious night!
