Hypocrite, Liar, Fool!
“Father,” you claim,
Hardly.
Come and go as you please,
Leave me here assuming your
Supposed role.
Pick ME as your scapegoat!
Forcing the weight of life
Onto my shoulders.
It’s no problem at all,
I’ll care for your child
Because you’re too busy
Fulfilling your own selfish desires.
Living a life that’s forever
Been denied to your children:
A life of happiness,
Security and love.
Because Parental Responsibilities
Are far too much of an inconvenience;
They aren’t listed among your job description,
Aren’t included in your chosen line of work.
Apparently my Contract For Life has expired,
And I’ve already missed the renewal deadline…

I absolutely loved the last two lines. I really could feel the emotions and frustration come out of this piece. It was raw. Great work! |

If parents can't fulfill their parential duties, then they shouldn't even have children. Great venting Cuddles. *S* Cynthia |

Great write! I can relate myself. They should hang this in social service offices so young people get a clue before doing the deed. |
