Bolt Action Love Letters

Contributed by eyesxcriedxout1989 on Sunday, 20th February 2005 @ 02:41:51 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

And every angel will fly
Over this twilight city skyline
And the doves all turn to ravens
While static flies through
Your timebomb eyes
If I told you the gun was loaded
Would you dance with me
And if I told you that you could pull the trigger
Would you kiss me one last time

So you might as well kill me
With your loaded lips
Feel my tongue against the
Cool brass of your cased love

You hit my with your bullets
And your slit wrist mind tricks
Though this time...
This time I'm shooting back
Cool brass-encased heartfelt bullets fly
From my ink-ridden gun as I
Write these letters I'll never send

So you might as well kill me
With your loaded lips
Feel my tongue against the
Cool brass of your cased love

Before reading through your lyrics I had assumed it was poetry, then after my first read, I felt like it should have been a song, as I looked beneath your title I saw that these were song lyrics and quietly nodded my head with agreement. *Lol *
Now with that said, I would like to congratulate you on the content.
People usually go on to describe one angel… yet you have surpassed that, stating that “every angel will fly”.
This line seems rather powerful to me, an excellent first line, which really throws you into the piece, effectively obtaining one’s interest.
“Twilight city skyline” –your settings are always vividly surreal.
“And the doves all turn to ravens”-much like a dream… shape-shifting the good, materialising it into evil.
“If I told you the gun was loaded, would you dance with me”… is true love worth dying for?
Perhaps!
“And if I told you that you could pull the trigger, would you kiss me one last time”… heart wrenching… ouch.
Your lyrics very much torture the heart, sufficiently.
“So you might as well kill me
With your loaded lips
Feel my tongue against the
Cool brass of your cased love”
Personification of love, through bullets, a dangerous liaison.

“This time I'm shooting back
Cool brass-encased heartfelt bullets fly
From my ink-ridden gun as I
Write these letters I'll never send”
-Insanely expressed.
The boy has talent.
“Ink ridden gun”
*Dies *
Wow.
*Dies again *
