these fingers lie

Contributed by SensitiveSoAbused on Friday, 18th February 2005 @ 08:33:22 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

white shirt cuff
these fingers move sporadically
these fingers lie
still, they throb
and pulse see this
cut here and burn here
so very beaten

these fingers lie

and stained red all over.

I’m here at home and my heart has
placed itself between my feet
plummeted beneath my toes

for i am home and i am me again
That is all.

I am outside, not now
in the air i am
inside people’s lives.
Inside their heads and in their minds.

Blue eyes dart and glisten, see
no breath, forget that i am me

Your being
all i wish to be

avert eyes
as i stare inside my head
a flickering television from nineteen eighty five
throws pallid shadow on euphoric smile of my face

forget that i am me
once again.

my meat is dripping i must start crying

(i must stop trying i will never be great.)

no ‘me’ in Great
no you in me

my life denies my fantasy.

.......... Flawless........

There are no words left inside me to praise such a masterpiece... (and I feel that there shouldn't be... it would just be.... wrong...) So I will leave it here... And hopefully, later on, I will have more compliments and encouragement for you... I am just speechless right now... Thank you, so much...

This is my second reckless attempt to give you the spectacular comment that this masterpiece deserves... yet, I am still very hesitant of what might expose itself from my own fingers... (I assure you, mine don't lie, ;).) Let's be daring, shall we? Okie dokie, here goes. :D

Your introduction floods with intense emotion... creating a vivid image of your hands as if they were right in front of me, embellished with past scars of sorrow and anguish... You compose this melancholic melody with the heart-wrenching facts of your life (for they say when you look at a person's hands, you will see the hardships that they endured through their existence). "These fingers lie" is a very ardent and painful proclamation, making the reader think, "If his fingers lie, then are these words, these visions, only false claims? Lies within lies?" The rawness of your expressions are... impeccable. I have never seen this type of format, nor style of writing. Rich with imagery, personification, and has a mystical essence that makes this exquisite work of art all the more... flawless. I believe that many can relate to this feeling of despair, self-doubt, and sorrow... I do hope those emotions have faded from your life somewhat... You deserve much happiness, cheri. :-). Magnificent piece of writing, my dear friend! Thank you so much for sharing. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and hope to see more from you! *MASSIVE HUGS!* You know I'm always here for you if and when you wish to talk, ok? :D. All my love, Lane. Forever,

Your dear friend/avid fan,

~*Stephy*~

this is so amazing... the emotion is raw and the words are so carefully chosen...they really represent the disguises of the emotions you feel.....awesome write
