Ladders Fall

we're grasping at an eternity
blind to the risk
of letting all emotion be dismissed
this world's all tangled
ladders fall
and passengers on heavens climb
break the barrier of truth and lie
will we all deny?
if choice is merely obligation
and we've no faith in situation
circumstance just doesn't take the blame
will we all deny His name?
His presence is more than this
a passing moment in time
will the day come when we'll pay
for our crime
oh we deny
the cross on His back
the thorns on His brow
will we make it to heaven somehow
or will we be denied?
