The book I picked to read
The cover so intrigued
That page by page I found myself
I did the story lead
Am I the character within?
How similiar it seems we've been
My life ... who dares to write?
To steal my thoughts at night
My life ... a story printed
With ink that I once gifted
And so afraid I am
The ending in my hand
That I go blind, it's scripted
And by the cover of the book
I can tell if you did look
And the character within
The antagonist I've been
