Solvaro

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Saturday, 20th July 2002 @ 11:03:01 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

We are not from here
We are from afar
A distant system
With a brighter star.

We changed this world
To suit ourselves
We invented time
In tens and twelve’s.

The problem lies
In how we live
We take and take
There is no give.

We see ourselves
As all-important
We must comprehend
How voids are shortened.

This planet will die
Just like did our home
Then where will we be
If we do not roam.

We must move on
To somewhere new
Nomads we are
At heart, me and you.

This beautiful place
This big blue jewel
We chop, blast and dig
To burn it as fuel.

It won’t last forever
If left in our hands
We’ll transform this oasis
To a bleak, dead wasteland.

We haven’t learned lessons
From long, long ago,
Our history tells the fate
Of our home Solvaro.

This place in the heavens
From where we first came
It suffered and died
At our hands just the same.

very nice write. I'm interested in the thoughts about from afar.... meaning, I have had interesting conversations with folks who have had top secret information about such an event. Interesting indeed. I do beleive, God didn't just put us in this universe.
Very well written,
Amber Rose :)

Hi Amber, Thankyou very kindly, I'm pleased you liked it. afar is where we will be going soon, sooner than we are allowed to believe by our so-called governing bodies! Even they don't and won't fully understand what is soon to be a new, yet ancient reality
With love
Dean

Dean, this is a great poem, and it is so true, we do treat the planet badly and that is rather sad. Because we are destroying it.

I'm glad you think this is great Candice,
This is one my most favourite poems that I've put on this site!
It's very sad what we're doing to it! We're learning though, but I do fear maybe a little too slowly!
Thankyou for your kind thoughts.

With love
Dean

Dean, I also think that we might be learning too slow. One of my biggest fears is that by the time I become a marine biologist the great white shark that I was to save so badly will no longer be around.
