Painful Nights

Topic: drugabuse

The black of night,
brings back all of my pain.
Each twinkling light,
my hope so far away.
Darkness, silence,
find a way to escape.
With all my might,
try not to suffocate.

Lost in my room,
full of bad memories.
Trapped in my tomb,
through windows there's a breeze.
Life, it goes on,
but I'm stuck in the seas.
The shadows loom,
fake relief, just a tease.

Sharp edges cut,
when striving to get out.
Pain in my gut,
screams, yells, shouts.
There is no help,
there is so much I doubt.
Heaven is shut,
with regret, I stand stout.
