Behind her eyes,
Lay the held back tears,
And behind her fake smile,
Sits the pain.
Mysteries that will never be solved,
And truths that will never be found,
Consume her fragile body.
She feels like her heart is black,
And can do no good.
Deep inside,
She keeps her lies,
Now growing up,
Almost too many to count.
It's all now come,
To this moment for her.
She hates life now,
It is a nightmare.
So now here she is,
About to take her last,
Her very final breath
And end this horrid life.

This is a good poem about what a heavy burden one carries when one covers up and lives a lie. As the last two lines state, life becomes nightmarish that way. Good poem. |
