one chapter has ended and another begins
it's like a cycle that never ends
my time's almost up to leave the nest
I'm scared to go out to the big wide world
I'm also glad cause it means I can live

My mom's kept me in this womb
safe from harm of the real world
she overdid it, protecting me
so now I'm scared of the big wide world

I don't want to leave, to live on my own
I couldn't handle that, I'd probably blow the house up
or die in some freak accident like everyone says

But I want to fly and live my own life
If I stay I'll go insane

I'm treated like a kid
with no rights and lots of responibilities
Smothered in a pillow of obedience
choked off from a life I once had

I used to be free to live my life
But we moved and it all came crashing down
I'm 24 and my life is not my own
It's controlled by unseen forces

I'm going away in 2 years away from the nest
My mom doesn't know, but I will fly away
I found someone who is willing to give me freedom
At least for a year, then if all goes well
I'll have someone to share with me all the fun
and resposibilities of life.
I hope it will last the 2 year wait

Just think 2 years and i'll be free
I can't wait, I'm sick of the smothering
of the pressure they put on me
I'm almost free that's what is important
I'm almost free

I liked this. The desire is quite evident and more importantly, its relatable. Very good write and I wish you the best. (^_^)v
