Two weeks in another town,
Hotel rooms in the same drab brown
Dreaming of you and the love we share,
Waking alone is a new despair.
(Chorus)
How can I live when I cannot share,
How can I love when your not there
How do I find my way back home,
I’m blind in the world when I’m so alone.
Another month on this endless highway,
Things don’t seem to ever go my way
The dreams of your are starting to fade,
I can’t believe the mistakes I’ve made.
(Chorus)
How can I live when I cannot share,
How can I love when your not there
How do I find my way back home,
I’m blind in the world when I’m so alone.
Your voice is just a breath away,
Through a phone line on a lonely day
But I can’t kiss you or hold your hand,
Sometimes that’s more than I can stand.
(Chorus)
How can I live when I cannot share,
How can I love when your not there
How do I find my way back home,
I’m blind in the world when I’m so alone.

Nicely done! I like the chorus a lot. It is meaningful. Keep it up.

That was just, honestly, so beautiful and moving. I love the illustration as well, it's very apt for the poem and symbolic. |
