your advice

Contributed by jmakuer on Thursday, 17th February 2005 @ 03:36:28 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

when i was a kid you did not mind
my wrong doings and dids
you called me and gave and advised to lead

now you've been gone and i am all alone
thinking of how i would carry on on my own
thinking of how and when would i be a man do it all

then i reached my teenhood everything went good
but i was acting like a fool, cause life was so good
snapped back to reality and thought of your advice

i call myself out of the evil and bad life..
knowing that you are always by my side
i carried on and did something right

now i am in my adulthood running around wild
not worrying what the life would call upon
'cause i know you taught me to be strong

now i survived because of you
i just want to say for once thank you dad
for the simple word that you said before your death
changed my life and made me the man i am today

.............i love you dad.................

Many people give us advice along life's journey, but we often never take heed. But when it's our dad,we tend to hold his words like a precious diamond. We cherish his advice!!! I'm glad you listened, and are a better person becase of it!
