I DID NOT WANT TO LOVE AGAIN
LOVE THAT LIVED THAT TIME OF WHEN
WHERE THUNDER ROARED DOWN DEEP INSIDE
AND TEARS LIKE RAIN WOULD FALL AT NIGHT
WHEN WORDS WOULD STING AND STRIKE LIKE LIGHTING
AND THOUGHTS OF LONLINESS SEEMED SO FRIGHTNING
ACCEPTED MISERY, A FACT OF LIFE
DROWNING IN A SEA OF STRIFE
THE DAY HAD COME, I HAD ENOUGH
I TOOK MY HEART AND SHUT IT OFF
I LEFT IT IN THOSE DAYS OF YORE
HIDDEN,IT WOULD FEEL NO MORE
THEN ONE DAY TO MY SURPRISE
BEFORE I EVEN REALIZED
MY HEART WOULD BEAT, I'D FEEL IT RACE
EACH TIME I'D LOOK AND SEE YOUR FACE
A TIDAL WAVE OF PURE EMOTION
WOULD SWEEP ME INTO LOVES' COMMOTION
AND ALL THE LOVE I TRIED TO HIDE
THIS TIME IT COULD NOT BE DENIED
A LOVE DEVINE AND MORE UNIQUE
A DIFFERENT KIND OF LOVE TO KEEP
NOT THAT LOVE OF TIMES AGO
BUT LOVE THAT PLANTS ITS SEEDS AND GROWS
THE KIND OF LOVE THAT ONE HOLDS DEAR
A LOVE THAT'S FELT BOTH FAR AND NEAR
A LOVE THAT REACHES FOR TOMORROW
THAT TAKES AWAY THE PAIN AND SORROW
AND GIVES A CHANCE TO START ANEW
THIS KIND OF LOVE I FEEL FOR YOU

::shakes head:: a poem isnt supposed to be capitalized in such a way.
