Solemn Moment

Walks in fog
Taking back her smile.
Shadow of he
Who never saw
Lives in her yet.
The unwashed hordes
Surround her
Merrily doing
What they've always done.
The stain
To the name
Not the same
Anymore.
The illusion
Rules the spirit
That makes
The wisest wonder.
Seagull flies
And cries
Making reminders
Of another
Far too felt.
Captured between
Lines
Of a trashed book
A heart
Now closed
Between torn pages.
A long parade
Of rememberance
Of never
By the sea.
Open suitcase
Put in
A round purple marble
Breath of fire icon
A small blue empty box
And a few colored stones.
Closed.
Pick up
Leave the scene
Get in taxi
And take a last ride
Away from sand.
"Where are you going, Lili?"

You paint a pretty picture with your poem. I like the last line. Very pleasant. |

I can't really say I understand it..it sounds like you're packing and leaving and all of a sudden someone takes notice that there's something wrong..is that it? I'd really like to know.. |
