Topic: oops

Don' t tell me what to do, this is my life.
I will listen to some things, such as advice.

But trying to control me, it just won't work.
Understanding is one thing, such criticising words.

You use to tell me, to grow up to be something.
Now you're putting things in front of me, what is this supposed to be.

It isn't me helping myself, it's you pushing it.
I'm ok on my own, i can handle it.

It is my life, i am the one in control.
If i mess anything up, i am willing to pay the tole.

But yet there are those people, that feel they have it all.
Until they hit a certain point, and go for a never ending fall.

I admit to feeling in control, of not only my life.
But we all make some mistakes, and some we make them twice.

This life that i'm living, is all in my hands.
I'll take your advice, but will i understand.

I am close to the edge, and i am slipping.
My life is ending quick, not fallen yet but tripping.

This is my life...i will not let you have a single say.
This life is mine...forever, tomorrow, yesterday, and today.

Great poem. Yes it is your life. I can relate to this. Everyone has their own life and makes their own choices. It's just hopefully you make the right ones but if you don't you will just learn from the mistakes. Great poem.
