I Saw The Light

Topic: SongLyrics

It was a fun filled night
Baby and I had a nasty fight
Drank too much and got a little tight
Told me plainily
She was angry
Buddy you'll ne'ver see the light To prove her wrong my ever plight

It was raining when I left that bar
Little past two going on four
I crawled into my car
Buckled my seat belt in about an hour

I drove off in the misty rain
It was dark and my eyes were strained
My head aching my heart full of pain
She said I'm tired of your drinking again

Told me plainly
She was angry
Buddy you'll ne'ver see the light
To prove her wrong my ever plight

I wonder if she will miss me like I miss her tonight
I never even saw the flashing lights
I crashed the gate with dawns early light
Her last words membering

Told me plainly
She was angry
Buddy you'll ne'ver see the light
To prove her wrong my ever plight

I remember my last look to the right
Freight train freight train that blaring light
Sparks of lightning fear and fright
Hello Saint Peter I saw the light

Sinned
