Till Silver Hues Emerge from Gray

Contributed by zaknafein8891 on Wednesday, 16th February 2005 @ 01:45:42 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Sometimes when curled up silent still,
Wrapped in cotton sheets; my
Eyes grow wet, so wet again,
With salty liquid grief.

Deep within the darkest hour,
an unseen figure creeps.
bears me far far off so near again,
on wings of sand he reaps.

Its here I first laid eyes on
you, the beauty surreal, so real.
The life I’d give my life to keep so
dearly near.

No longer safe, hidden deep within
my chest, my gentle heart you steal,
expose: a poet armed with a
single rose.

Last night they hurt us, you and I.
Left a scratch, below your lovely eye.
The cut, it bled; it bled so bad.
Sad, I wiped your cheek . On my shirt was
left a bloody streak.

Our eyes met, you smiled;
With but a look said things words
couldn’t say, so deep the most romantic
speech, could never properly convey.

You leaned against my shoulder,
I cradled you when you leaned back,
to rest your head, tired in my lap.

…and as always, alone I was left,
by the grand sand theft, of the malicious
gray morn…
…you’re not beside me,
I panic and fret, till I remember:
as of yet, we’ve never met, at least not in
a sense. So I patiently await the day,
silver hues emerge from gray.

thats it, after reading only two of your poems thus far. i am a fan lol
again wow....
the beginning was amazing, but i think as it went down you started to lose the reader and some lines lost its deepness. but thats just my opinion, the poem is still beyond words to do it justice.
again, amazing job.
Arden
