Auto Show

Auto Show
~~~~
I couldn’t have been more proud
Walking you down the aisle
As all the onlookers
Saw your amazing smile
In your little blue jeans
And striped sweater
You held my hand
As we walked together
A look of interest
Outlined your face
As cars were lined
All over the place
From one to another
We took our turn
As desire in our hearts
Started to burn
My favorite was a pick-up
Yours a car
Mommies, a minivan
Similar to ours
What a day at the show
We had such a fun time
A day in dreamland
Suited us just fine
I think I'm reliving my children being young through your poetry. With us, however, it was the boat show.
