Another menses ride

Sleepless night, leads to sleepless dawn,
Up I sit pale and drawn.
Clammy cold fear grips my stomach,
And an icy sweat slips down my spine.
Then a burning ach starts deep inside,
I curl up and try to hide
I clutch my fear and push it down
But it only pushes back up again.
Iron claws grip up between my legs
And start to rip and tear and pull
I bite down hard on wet, wet wool,
Trying not to scream at the tug,
Wishing that there was a drug
That could stop this pain.
But that only starts it up again.
A thousand skewers, burning white
Springs up out of the hell of night
To stab back down upon me
And my face screws up in agony.
In they jab, down then out
Now all I do is scream and shout.
As tears soar down my cheeks,
As rich red blood pours forth, it reeks.
I am being eaten from inside,
As I start another menses ride.

Great Poem, only too familiar subject :)
I think you should sell t-shirts with this on so people will understand how grim it can be for us women. We can wear them monthly ;-).
