A Monkeys Wedding.

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Saturday, 20th July 2002 @ 10:48:43 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

At a monkey's wedding
We found ourselves present
The weather that morn
Was so very pleasant

The warm still air
And clear blue sky
Then the heavens above
Began to cry

A wondrous sight
Not a cloud to be seen
Holding my hand
Was the girl in my dream

Tears of joy
Danced in the air
Not a soul to be seen
No monkeys anywhere

The perfect start
To the perfect day
Could life be fuller
I think not, no way

A wonderful experience
So glad we were there
Nothing else in my life
Will possibly compare

A monkey's wedding
This is called but why
I guess I’ll never know
How the air appeared to cry.

Very nice...and I did not know that there was a name for the rain without clouds...although I have seen it before. I enjoyed this little romantic poem. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
Take care,
Sherry

Dean, Wow this is truly beautiful. I have seen this many times. When I used to live in Florida. In Florida it is call a sun shower. Probably because although it is raining there aren't any clouds and the sun is shining brightly. I personally love these. Great poem.

Hey Candice I'm very pleased you liked this one as it's about the happiest day of my now 31 years of days!
If you copy and past this address into your browser http://panther.bsc.edu/~jtatter/hawkpan2.html
it will take you to a very slow loading page, have patience please it takes bloody ages! But it is exactly where we were walking on this summer morning in 2000, it's a beautiful place no more than a mile from my home.
I hope you like it, and thankyou for the comments again they mean very much to me.

With love
Dean:-)

Dean thank you for sharing that. It is breath takingly beautiful. Wow. It's been a long time since I saw something that beautiful. The last time was five years ago at the gulf of mexico. It was early morning in the summer and one was around but me and my boyfriend at the time. It was one of my happiest memories.I probably thought it was beautiful becuase I am an ocean lover and have been since I was 18 months old.

Did the page work then? I just tried it and couldn't get it pan round!
I also love the ocean, but sadly I don't get to see it or feel and smell it as often as I should make the effort to do!
I have to go now , I'm very starving, it's 7.40pm here and I haven't eaten in what seems like years, so I'm going to make tea now!
See ya soon and thankyou Candice

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, yes it worked for me. I don't get to the ocean nearly as much as I used to . When I lived in Florida I went everyday. But the last time I went was 5 years ago with that boyfriend of mine.

FIVE years ago, that's nowhere near enough Candice!
The only time I get to see it now is my annual one day drive to the coast, just to sit for a couple of hours on the beach and yes alone!
It's not so much fun alone but I feel it's important for me just to go, the traffic's always murder, but it's worth it. It seems to put everything that's happening back into some kind of perspective!

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, trust me I know that it isn't nearly enough. But where I live now, I am a LONG way away from an ocean, and I can't find the same sort of peace at a river or a lake. The only place I can find the peace I get at an ocean is at a water fall and there aren't any of those close by either. It really sucks, but I try to make due. I usually listen to my CD that is nothing but oecan sounds.
