''always there for you''

Contributed by english-pea-pelter on Monday, 14th February 2005 @ 09:26:30 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

My love for you
Has always been there
I know you don’t love me
I know you don’t care
At least not that way
The way that I say
“I wanna be with you”
You just don’t get it
You want to be friends
I want to be more
I thought that you knew
With all that love I lend
I lend my shoulder
I lend my advice
I lend my beliefs
I learned your Christ
And now you just want to be friends
And my heart is trapped in a cold, steel vice
You don’t want me
My “friend”
And I don’t think I’m all right
I lost it all
Including my brother
And I pretended to love others
But I only love you
You wont get out of my head as I sleep
And I lie awake now, counting sheep
And you took my heart,
And didn’t give it back
And my cold heart, is trying to start
I need someone to hold me
And take care of me for once
I’m tired of waiting my turn
When it is never to come
I kneel on the ground
Shouting for someone to give love
But nobody cares
But you come to mind
Shining through
But I know that you didn’t accept my heart
You tore it in two
But even though you don’t want it
My love will always be there for you

your poem doesn't suck, it has a meaning and that is what i believe this is about, i know how it feels to pour your heart out to someone, and get it ripped in two and never returned

out of all the things you inherited from your brother I had hoped you would not inherit his love for me or his ability to make me feel terrible!
