Tobacco

Contributed by highly_flammable on Monday, 14th February 2005 @ 08:04:20 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Tobacco is an awful drug
People think it makes them a stud
But they were all very wrong
Soon they are all gonna be gone

The effects of smoking are not very good*
It’s addictive, time to stop you know you should*
Yellow is the color of teeth and nails
Cancer, tumors, and then the lungs fail

Smoking makes you smell like trash
Away from you people dash
Fight back with what you know
Tobacco puts you on death row

Speak up and find your voice
If you smoke, it’s your own choice
Just know you may never be free
And on your grave will be R.I.P.

*These two lines were substituted in. The original lines were:

The effects of smoking don't turn out well
If you smoke, it'll put you through hell.

That was excellent. It was full of decription and very insightful. Love the rhyming it brought so much feeling into it. Well, done my friend. Keep up the good work. :D

What this poem says is true so true. The service gave me a three pack a day habit which I finally kicked 23 years ago. Never made a better choice.
