The street lights are dim
the night is so dark
gunshots and loud music
all through Athens Park
I want to sleep
but I must stay awake
my beef is too deep
so I got 2 make a pay
dont wanna sell base
not a crip or blood
survival of the fittest
not showin no love
reefa and crack
around the back
shot ol Timmy
4 slangin the smack
where is the love
I was promised at birth
what was the reason
I was put on this earth
day by day
when will I get through the rain
chronic an malt liquor
tryin to ease the pain
always a war
goin on in the street
thaz how wheelchair Jerome
lost his feet
no one will understand
maybe cuz they were neva there?
were banned from society
and they dont give a care

You're better at poems than rapping.
you ***** up the last line. I'd write -
"and they don't ever care" |
