Staring Down Highbeams

Contributed by WorthlesSanity666 on Monday, 14th February 2005 @ 04:54:15 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I'm ready to stare those headlights down.
Dare them to crush
my heart that's binding.
It pines and binds me to this earth,
when my mind is set
to deliver me to death.
I challenge the coming car,
"Hit me, I dare you.
Let's see what happens pussy!"
Remembering as I stand,
all my colors turned to gray,
running smeared,
away in torrents of blood and misery.
Flowing,
with regrets, my worries,
distorted pasts and truths.
I dart across the road and I feel my body crumble
from the weight of all my tears,
which come quickly pouring out.
My misery cripples me there,
lying as I cry tears that know no end.
All I can fathom is the emptiness growing
to replace my running tears.
I crawl away,
dazed and broken,
gone to live another lie.
