Don’t Grocery Shop When You’re Hungry….

Contributed by dtborchert on Monday, 14th February 2005 @ 01:19:50 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Pile it all high and pack it all in
I can’t believe it’s a quarter to ten.
The store’s almost closed,
We’re here on the nose.
There’s milk and there’s eggs,
And there’s bread and there’s cheese,
There’s salami and spread and some frozen sweet peas.
Donuts and pizza and soda and ham,
Cookies and syrup and raspberry jam.
Soda and steak and flour for cake.
Yummy potatoes and red ripe tomatoes.
Strawberries and cherries and of course, Ben and Jerry’s.
Carrots and beans and some fresh turnip greens.
But let’s not forget the best- the extreme,
Rocky road ice cream with double whipped cream.
Let’s check the list and see what we’ve got
What do you mean we don’t have one-
well why the hell not?
There was only one item- what could it be?
We haven’t got any more rolls of TP.

As a poor college student, I have to applaud your great effort at describing a principle that i had to learn the hard way. Why didn't I think of this?

Well, I enjoyed this one immensely. Thank you so much

I've just read the shopoholics tale,
who not only buys shoes,
but foodstuff as well!
so if you shop wisely
I could never begrudge it
As long as you remember,
the family budget!

Johnny.
