Your Daddy’s Arms
~~~~
Your daddy’s arms are strong and wide
Lovingly inviting you inside
To share a hug and a tight squeeze
As I wait on bended knees
Your daddy’s arms will protect and hold
His little buddy from the cold
Nestling him near his chest
Firmly allowing him to rest
Your daddy’s arms will shelter you from
Any danger that your way will come
They will be a place of safety a place of calm
Providing you no sense of alarm
Your daddy’s arms will not tire
Of lifting his son a little higher
To place his feet on sturdy ground
When life’s trials come around
Your daddy’s arms are full of love
So very grateful to God above
For sending him such a beautiful boy
Who has given his daddy such incredible joy
