Friendship & The Rose

Friendship is like a rose.
It blooms, and grows..
sometimes..a storm hits
and hard rains fall on the flower.
The petals fall, unable
to withstand the hard
pelting drops of rain.
But with time, and care,
A new bud appears.
Stronger, brighter;
Even the fragrance, sweeter.
But, as with the rose
neglect and the harsh
weather of our times
can kill a tender
blossoming friendship..
making it impossible
for new buds to grow.
Harsh words, like harsh rains,
can kill a friendship..
as sure as winter rains
can kill a rose~

| Yes Mary. I know this is you and so do several others. What kills friendship is when one of the " friends " likes to publicly attack the other. What kills a poetry site is when nothing is ever done about it. I wonder why you werent banned as was specified in the SITE RULES for PUBLIC ATTACKS ON A FELLOW MEMBER. |
