Redemption
When the final step has been taken,
And the ballot has been cast,
Pray that you'll awaken,
Pray the pain won't last.
Oppressor in life, you may have been,
Collector of my tears,
You never asked for redemption,
You wasted precious years.
While you rot from inside out,
I struggle hard to heal,
I am stronger today without a doubt,
I know exactly how I feel.
Your sins, they must be redeemed,
Your heart, it must be cleansed,
Things were never what they seemed,
Your fate in life depends.
One day we have to pay the cost,
Of all the wrongs we do,
Repent now, before all is lost,
Or is redemption not for you?
